ABOUT US - MISSION STATEMENT
Opengate’s mission is to operate a non-profit, non-sectarian residential and day program for individuals who are developmentally disabled, including those who are behaviorally challenged. The agency’s goal is to serve individuals based on their needs without restriction as to place of birth or familial residence.
Underlying Opengate’s purpose and program is its recognition of the worth and dignity of each individual it serves as a valued member of society. Opengate realizes the rights of the developmentally disabled individuals to become part of the mainstream to the maximum extent of their capabilities. We provide therapeutic programs and services in a humane environment for those in need of habilitation, and to provide options for community living for those who can benefit from a more independent environment.
