Employment Opportunities at Opengate
Persons interested in exploring job opportunities serving in the gratifying field of the Developmentally Disabled are encouraged to contact our Human Resources Office at (914) 277-5350, ext. 104 to learn of current staff openings. Job requirements are continually changing and may not be reflected immediately on Opengate’s website. Experience in the Developmentally Disabled field is not necessary although it is preferred. Opengate is proud of its employees with entry level origins many of whom have followed career paths to Lead Counselor or Resident Manager and administrative roles including our own Chief Executive Officer, Brian Hulten LCSW.
Applicants must have a valid New York State Driver License and either a High School diploma or GED. Background checks including finger-printing, sex offender registry check and a pre-employment drug testing are all required.
Salary & Benefits
In addition to offering competitive salaries in this field, Opengate is unique providing comprehensive benefits for the employee (and their family) and at minimal cost. For example, for single person medical coverage $3.42 is deducted from bi-weekly pay or, for family medical coverage, $11.06 is deducted. Family dental benefits are included at no cost to the employee. The employee also receives gratuitous life insurance coverage valued at a sum equal to their annual salary. To further enhance this generous benefits and pay package, new employees can participate in Opengate’s optional 401 (k) retirement plan.

Opengate is seeking compassionate and caring individuals to assist developmentally disabled adults to lead fruitful and independent lives. We provide weekly paid training. Evening, Overnight & Per Diem shifts are available in five separate locations across Westchester. Day Habilitation shifts in Hawthorne are available Monday to Friday (days).
